Partner
(In Memoriam)
After graduating from Florida State College of Law with Honors, Charles A. Schuster began his career as a trial lawyer with the oldest defense firm in Florida rising to become partner. In that capacity he was involved in a wide range of personal injury claims including automobile and trucking accidents, boating and personal water craft accidents, premises liability claims including slip and fall accidents and negligent security claims, product liability claims including asbestos, defective fork lifts and a helicopter crash in the Philippines and medical malpractice claims. Based on his interest in effective and efficient conflict resolution, Mr. Schuster became a Florida Supreme Court Certified Mediator in 1991 and assisted hundreds of parties in reaching fair settlements of their personal injury claims. When he was an Insurance Defense Lawyer, 20% of his practice was devoted to representation of injured victims of negligence. In 2002 he joined Gross & Schuster and now spends 100% of his time representing the injured against insurance companies. He has lectured in the field of medical malpractice and effective mediation. He is an avid motorcyclist and has a special interest in representing the victims of motor cycle accidents.
Mr. Schuster has been Board Certified as a specialist in Civil Trial Law by the Florida Bar since 1988 and has been certified as a Civil Trial Advocate by the National Board of Trial Advocacy since 1990.
